From the President's Desk
It is indeed a great privilege, and my pleasure, to take over as the President of this wonderful Bangalore Chapter of NHRD Network. Thank you for your belief in the new Executive Committee which has been recently elected- the profiles of the new EC team are here. I am sure together we can continue to keep the Bangalore flag flying high- of course, with your involvement and contribution!
We are living amidst a time of great change. The digital revolution, the fast march of technology and automation, global geo-politics, and the general challenges of the VUCA world- have all come together to provide us with much to ponder upon, especially for the HR function.
As a community, we need to come together and help organisations and individuals manage through these changes. NHRD would aim to be your partner in helping you prepare for these challenges and making an impact.
Our broad objective as a Network would be the following: – To debate key issues affecting businesses and the HR function, and identify how we could lead through those
– To help build relevant skills and capabilities amongst our members, and sharing best practices
– To help upskill and provide a knowledge platform for our current academic community, both students and faculty
– To make Bangalore the wellspring of innovations in HR, building on the confluence of technology and thought-leadership
– To help our members develop as professionals and to build productive networks and an extended community to support them
We would like your views on what should be the key focus areas for our Chapter? And how we can make a difference to each of you in your journey to be great HR professionals? Do write in to firstname.lastname@example.org, or reach us on the ‘nhrd bangalore’ page on Facebook, or our Twitter handle @nhrdbangalore We really look forward to hear from you.
On behalf of the Executive committee, I request your support and participation in the Chapter activities, while we commit to doing everything we can, to take the Chapter forward and continue to be a benchmark for NHRD nationally!
With best regards
Krish Shankar and the EC of NHRD Bangalore
